5 Website Mistakes To Avoid

Here are 5 website mistakes you might be making and will want to avoid!

  1. Unclear Messaging
  2. If it is not clear what you are selling or what service you offer, viewers will not stay on your website very long.

  3. Slow Page Speed + Weak or No Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  4. If your website is not optimized for speed, it will not rank well on search engines such as Google.
  5. People will also not wait more than a few seconds for a website to load and if it doesn't load, they are on to the next website!
  6. Find out your desktop and mobile website page speeds here.
  7. Find out the speed of all of your website pages without having to search each one individually by using Experte. A great tool made by Janis!

  8. Confusing or No Call To Action (CTA)
  9. Just like number one above, your website needs to clearly state what you want people to do.
  10. You may want people to do a few things but try to keep this to one or two main goals of the website. The other side things can come later once you build a relationship with the website viewer. If you are asking them to complete too many tasks they will be turned off and go somewhere else.

  11. Bad Navigation
  12. Let's face it, no one likes being lost. The better the User Experience (UX) the longer the viewer will stay on your website and the higher the chance they complete your CTA.

  13. Not Mobile Responsive
  14. Every website needs to be mobile responsive to provide the best experience possible. No one wants to try to pinch their fingers together to zoom into a specific section of your website and try to read something that actually becomes blurry when zoomed in.
  15. View a very interesting article about mobile vs desktop from Allconnect HERE.
